The team at Albany Braces is delighted to welcome Dr. Abdallah Michail!
Dr. Michail earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from Ajman University in Ajman, United Arab Emirates. He then continued his advanced dental education at the University of Rochester's Eastman Institute for Oral Health (EIOH) in New York, where he completed a Fellowship in Community Dentistry, an Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) program, and a Master of Dental Sciences in Clinical and Translational Sciences. Dr. Michail further specialized by completing his residency in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics at the Eastman Institute for Oral Health, providing him with comprehensive training in creating healthy, functional, and confident smiles.
During Dr. Michail’s Advanced Education in General Dentistry Residency (AEGD), Dr. Michail was introduced to orthodontics early in his clinical training. Throughout the treatment of his first fixed orthodontic case (braces), he was impressed by the process of tooth alignment and the level of problem-solving, precision, and attention to detail it required. He was particularly drawn to the unique combination of science, biomechanics, and artistry that defines the field of orthodontics.
Dr. Michail enjoys the process of diagnosing cases, developing individualized treatment plans, and guiding patients through their smile transformation journey. What he finds most rewarding is seeing the positive impact that orthodontic treatment can have on a person's confidence, oral health, and overall quality of life. Also through the course of treatment there is an artistic side to Orthodontics that he appreciates. With Orthodontics there is something exciting to learn everyday!
